The lever principle Simulation created by Walter Fendt, 1998
This animation illustrates a bar placed on a fixed point with its centre of gravity
over the fixed point. Weights may be suspended along the bar at various distances
right and left of the fixed point (every 10 cm). All weights are equal (1.0 N), however,
the moment produced differs according to their exact location and the bar tips in
one direction or the other depending on their position with respect to the fixed
point. The mouse may be used to add, delete or move the weights along the bar
and thus modify the balanced state of the moment, independent of the weights
themselves.
