A-Volve is an original ecosystem designed and developed by two artists: Christa Sommerer and Laurent Mignonneau. The more hydrodynamic the shape of the aquatic animal you draw, the greater its life expectancy. The computer calculates the 3D shape of your creature which subsequently joins its fellows in a virtual aquarium. They swim, eat each other, reproduce and die like real living things. You can momentarily remove the creature of your choice from the aquarium by placing your hand on it to freeze it and so observe effects on its evolution.
